Why Buy A Philips Norelco 3d Electric Shaver

Why buy a Philips Norelco 3d Sensotouch electric shaver when a safety razor is so much cheaper? For most men it comes down to two factors - lifestyle and skin sensitivity.

Editors Note:  When discussing razors, I am referring to the traditional safety razor and not the straight razor often seen in barber shops for trimming side burns and such.

A Busy Lifestyle

The biggest factor in why a man would buy an electric shaver over a safety razor is lifestyle.  If you are one of those men who stay in bed until the last possible moment or find there are less minutes in the morning than there should be, then your lifestyle calls for an electric shaver.

With an electric shaver you can shave while driving.  Can you picture trying to shave with a disposable razor on the ride in to work?  Between the shaving cream all over the steering-wheel and the cuts all over your face - you would make quite a sight.  Most shavers will hold a charge for up to a month’s worth of shaving making it the perfect tool for the “drive and shave” man.

Plus you can shave anywhere.

Since you don’t need to be near a sink to deal with shaving cream or near a mirror to see what you are doing, you can shave while pouring a cup of coffee, making a bowl of cereal or reading the morning news online.

An electric shaver is the multi-tasker’s solution to shaving.

You can do two things at once and still not cut your face in the process.  You can shave while in the shower, while getting dressed and while sitting on the john.  Try doing that with a razor.

On top of that, the Philips Norelco 3d SensoTouch electric shaver saves you time because the cleanup is much easier.  You don’t need to use a gel or foam.  You can wash your shaver heads right after you shave or put it off until you have more time.  A regular razor will get clogged up with gel or foam if you don’t wash it right away.

Buy An Electric Shaver If You Have Sensitive Skin

The second factor besides lifestyle, is your skin sensitivity.  Many men complain that electric shavers dry out their skin.  This is true initially but with many safety razors, you can also see drying effects from shaving.  Your face needs to get used to the new shaving blades or heads. Once your face adjusts, the drying effect should go away.

If your skin is sensitive and prone to razor burn an electric shaver is a must. You can say goodbye to razor burn and get a more comfortable shave on a daily basis.

While a straight razor can easily cut your face, a safety razor is less likely to do that.  However, if you shave against the grain, you will most likely nick yourself which is rather annoying.  If you have ever forgotten to take the little pieces of toilet paper off your nicks before leaving the house, you know just how embarrassing nicks can be.

When you buy an electric shaver you can say goodbye to all that.  You can go against the grain all you want and not cut yourself.  Heck, you get to shave in circles and not really pay attention to what you are doing and still get a great shave.

Having said that, with an electric razor, you may find you have a 5 o’clock shadow if your facial hair tends to grow fast.  This is one of the biggest downsides to the electric shaver.  But hey, women dig the scruffy look so if that is the biggest downside, you can live with that right?

So in the end, I say you should buy an electric shaver if you are a man on the go and don’t need the hassle of nicks on your face.
